Home Care Costs and What Happens After You Reach Out

Home Care Costs and What Happens After You Reach Out

You’ve read about home care, you’ve thought it through, and you’re close to picking up the phone or filling out a form. What usually holds families back at this exact point isn’t the decision itself, it’s the unknowns: what it costs, how fast it can actually start, whether anyone will really call back, and how billing works. Here are direct answers to those four questions.

How Much Does Home Care Typically Cost?

There isn’t a single flat rate, because cost depends on the type of care (essential caregiving, skilled nursing, or a hybrid of both), how many hours a day you need, and whether the plan includes overnight or 24-hour coverage. As a private-pay practice, we build a custom care plan around your situation and quote a rate after a short conversation, rather than charging everyone the same price for very different needs.

If you want a straight number for your specific situation, call (215) 348-4008 and our team will walk through it with you, no obligation.

How Soon Can Care Start After I Submit a Form?

Most families hear back within 24 hours of reaching out, usually the same business day. From there, we typically have the ability to begin care within 24 to 48 hours. The one variable is skilled nursing that requires physician orders, in that case, timing depends on how quickly your doctor’s office returns the signed paperwork, and we help move that along on our end.

If your timeline is tight, don’t wait on the form. Call (215) 348-4008 directly and let us know it’s time-sensitive.

What Happens After I Submit My Information? Will Someone Call Me?

Yes. A member of our Concierge Intake Team reviews what you submitted and calls you, usually that same business day, to talk through your situation and answer your questions before anything is scheduled. There’s no call center and no automated queue routing you to a stranger, just a conversation with someone from our Doylestown office who has actually read what you wrote. You can see the full process on our how it works page.

Prefer not to wait for a callback? Call us at (215) 348-4008 and skip the wait entirely.

Do You Accept Insurance, Medicaid, or Private Pay?

We’re a private-pay practice that also accepts long-term care insurance. We do not accept Medicare or Medicaid. This is intentional: it’s what lets us start care in 24 to 48 hours instead of waiting on a public program’s authorization process, and it keeps the plan built around your family instead of a reimbursement cycle. If you have a long-term care policy, our team will help you understand what it may cover. You can read more about how billing works on our private pay & long-term care insurance page.

Have a specific policy question? Call (215) 348-4008 and we’ll go through it with you.

The Only Step Left Is the Conversation

Every family we’ve worked with had some version of these same questions before that first call. None of them turn out to be a reason to wait. If you’re ready, request a private consultation and our Concierge Intake Team will follow up, usually the same day, or call (215) 348-4008 right now if you’d rather just talk.
